basketball
Sal asked:

When I shoot a basketball my only problem with my shot is that I can’t get any backspin on the ball unless I purposely focus on trying to which alters my shot. Any help?

It’s called english, when you shoot, release with your fingers, not your whole hand.

Dont put the ball on your palm when your shoot, all fingers.

The key here is to flick your wrist on the shot, and follow through. The flick is where you get backspin from.

Here’s an example (not the best form I’ve seen, but it’ll do):

Skip to 1:00 if you only want to watch the flick, notice how the boy flicked his left hand (flick your right hand if you’re right-handed). Practice and it shouldn’t take too long to perfect it.

use your fingers to shoot and don’t use your palm. when you shoot there should be a little pocket in between your palm and the ball.
